Radio Gaga sees off Switcher for Eternal win

Report: Warwick, Thursday

Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Eternal Stakes (Listed Race) 7f, 3yo fillies

RADIO GAGA, runner-up to Moonstone Magic in the Fred Darling before disappointing in the 1,000 Guineas, landed the Eternal Stakes comfortably from Switcher, with the pair pulling three and a half lengths clear of 33-1 shot Roger Sez in third.

Settled prominently by Richard Mullen for Ed McMahon, Radio Gaga travelled well and grabbed the stands rail as the field came across, quickening clear and putting the race to bed with a furlong to run.

The 11-2 shot idled slightly in front and was always holding the closing Switcher, who put a disappointing run at Royal Ascot behind her with a much-improved effort in a first-time hood.

McMahon said: "She deserved to win a race like this as she has been both Listed and Group placed already. She's a big, scopey filly, and if she stays in training at four she'll be a force to be reckoned with."
