IRISH champion trainer Willie Mullins recorded the fastest century of winners for a season in Ireland when Soll won the beginners chase at Down Royal on Wednesday.

Ridden by Ruby Walsh, Soll was sent off the 2-5 favourite and made all the running in the 2m4f contest to score by four and a half lengths from Harpsy Cord.

Mullins previously held the fastest century of domestic winners after on HampshireExpress won a handicap hurdle at Gowran on February 13, 2010.

Mullins, general favourite to be top trainer at next month's Cheltenham Festival, said: "It's great for the whole team. It's really down to us beingfortunate enough to have such good quality horses.

"I thought at the start of the season that it could be the best year we've ever had, if everything stayed together and most of it has. Hopefully, the horses will stay healthy andkeep winning."
