Disaster struck for Denman supporters in the Aon Chase at Newbury, with Tony McCoy coming unstuck at the third-last after making a hash of the previous open ditch.
Bookmakers reacted by pushing the Hennessy winner out to 7-2 to regain his Gold Cup crown from Kauto Star, who will enter the Cheltenham showpiece on the high of a fourth successive King George and is now an even shorter favourite for the race.
