Valantino fancied to deliver at Beverley
COURSE specialist Valantino Oyster has been backed to deliver again for Tracy Waggott in the 1m4f handicap at Beverley this afternoon (4.30).
The six-year-old loves the Westwood and Redcar, with six of his seven career wins spread between the two tracks, and having been as big as 10-1 this morning, is now disputing favouritism in some lists at 7-2, though 9-2 is available.
Also at Beverley, Dance For Georgie is fancied to regain the winning thread in the 7½f handicap at 3.00. Trained by Ben Haslam, the four-year-old has not fired in two starts this year but is now around the 4-1 mark having been 16-1 earlier in the day.
With only one of the 15 remaining runners in the 7f maiden at Newbury this evening (7.25) having had a previous run, it is significant that there has been a lot of support for the Ed Dunlop-trained Amazing Maria, who has halved to a general 5-1 (from 10).
