ORIENTAL TIGER'S disqualification from first place in the Group 1 Rheinland-Pokal der Sparkasse KolnBonn at Cologne on August 17 has been confirmed.

The substance came from a course of injections given to the five-year-old to control a skin allergy.

They contain cortisone and connections miscalculated the time it would take to leave his system.

Uwe Ostmann, who trains Oriental Tiger, said: "We have given him these injections before and there has been no problem."
