Uttoxeter forced to abandon Thursday card

OFFICIALS at Uttoxeter have been forced to cancel the track's fixture on Thursday after heavy rain left the course waterlogged.

The track has been hit more than 15mm of rain since 7am on Wednesday and further showers are forecast throughout the night.

Clerk of the course Charlie Moore tweeted: "Racing abandoned tomorrow eve. 15.5mm rain today, waterlogged ground & more rain forecast; not a great recipe!"
