Pontefract, which was due to stage the Listed Arkle Finance Pipalong Stakes, one of the course's feature events of the season, waved the white flag after further torrential rain this morning made the ground unraceable.
Fairyhouse were also due to stage a decent card, including the Group 3 Brownstown Stakes, on Tuesday but heavy rain overnight left the course waterlogged.
Conditions at Uttoxeter, which is due to stage a seven-race card this evening, are already very testing and, with weather warnings in place for several parts of the Midlands and surrounding areas, the prospect of heavy rain throughout the day is causing concern.
Monday's meeting at Newton Abbot was abandoned at the weekend and there is the likelihood of further meetings being lost this week, with forecasters predicting more rain for the next few days.
