Keeneland: Ben Ali Stakes (Grade 3) 1m1f, AW, 4yo+
CLARK Handicap winner Wise Dan (Charles Lopresti/John Velazquez) served notice that he will be a major player in top-grade events this term with a stunning 10½-length victory in the Ben Ali.
Sent off 4-5 favourite, the five-year-old broke the track record on the Polytrack after making all in a time of 1m46.63s on his first start for five months.
The Stephen Foster Handicap on June 16 is beckoning for the winner, which means a return to the Churchill Downs dirt track on which he won the Clark in November by nearly four lengths.
"I was worried about the layoff but he's just a good horse, a really good horse," said Lopresti.
Wise Dan now has a career record of nine wins from 15 starts including victories on dirt, turf and all-weather.

Santa Anita: San Juan Capistrano Hcap (Grade 2) 1¾m, turf, 4yo+
Track specialist Bourbon Bay (Neil Drysdale/Joel Rosario) took his record to seven out of nine on the Santa Anita turf as he landed his second victory in a historic race.
Even-money favourite Bourbon Bay, who came from miles off the pace to nab Eagle Poise, also won the nation's longest turf stakes in 2010.
