Jockey Jeff Faul killed after being hit by car
USA: Jockey Jeff Faul has died after being hit by a car in Cankton, Louisiana on Friday. He was 47.
Faul was based for most of his career at Delta Downs in Louisiana and took his first mount at the track in January 1982. In total he won 1,776 races with earnings of $13,879,176.
Faul was suspended for six years in 2003 for allegedly carrying an electrical device when winning a $10,000 claimer of Run For You at the now defunct Great Lakes Down. He returned to riding in 2010.
