Leopardstown: set to host four Grade 1s on top-class card on Sunday

All eyes on super Leopardstown card

ALL eyes will be on Leopardstown on Sunday as it hosts a stellar Grade 1 card including the Hennessy Gold Cup and Deloitte Novice Hurdle.

The eight-race meeting also includes the Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase and the Spring Juvenile Hurdle as well as an intriguing 3m hunter chase, which will see Foxhunter fancy On The Fringe bid to follow up last year's victory.

The Hennessy Gold Cup revolves around the Willie Mullins-trained Quel Esprit, who will bid to enhance his Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup claims following two comfortable wins this season.

The Nicky Henderson-trained Captain Conan, who landed the 32Red Hurdle at Sandown last month, will line up against fellow Grade 1 winner Sous Les Cieux in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle, whileRSA Chase hope Last Instalment is out to notch his fourth straight success over fences in the Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase.

Ut De Sivola, as short as 9-1 with Boylesports for the JCB Triumph Hurdle, must overcome 11 rivals if he is to maintain his unbeaten record over hurdles.
