USA: Reveron has been scratched from the Kentucky Derby on May 5 after cracks were found in his front-left leg after a workout on Saturday.
Trained by Agustin Bezara, Reveron was a 20-1 chance for Louisville after finishing runner-up to Take Charge Indy in the Grade 1 Florida Derby on his last start, where he was a neck in front of Derby second favourite Union Rags.
However, after working over 1m at Calder on Saturday there were cracks detected in the horse's ankle.
"The horse worked great this morning," trainer Agustin Bezara told the Blood-Horse. "We brought him back to the barn and while we were giving him a bath, we noticed he was a bit off in the left front. We had him x-rayed and it came backshowing a fissure near the ankle.
"The good news is that it isn't a fracture, and that it's not a career-ending injury. But obviously the Derby is out."
