Huntingdon errs on side of caution with check
AN INSPECTION has been called at Huntingdon at 8am on Thursday morning for its fixture the same afternoon.
Officials at the course stressed that as long as the overnight forecast was correct racing would not be in doubt.
Clerk of the course Andrew Morris said on Wednesday: "We're being ultra cautious and thought it best to have an official look justto keep everyone informed.
"We recieved an updated forecast that suggests temperatures might get down to 0C so it's just in case the forecast is wrong. If the forecast is correct then we'll be absolutely fine."
The going at the track is described as good to soft, good in places.
