Triple Group 1 winner Somnus retired
FORMER top sprinter Somnus, a triple Group 1 winner in his prime, has been retired from racing.
Somnus was successful in ten of his 43 races, and the winner of a colossal £743,966 in prize money.
Breeder Lady Caroline Legard owned the gelding in partnership with Sir Tatton Sykes and Roger Sidebottom.
Legard said: "How lucky have we been to have a horse like him? It's been incredible. He's taken us around the world, competed and triumphed at the very top level, and provided us with such fun and so many fond memories."
