Kellys out to build on impressive Ripon record
KELLYS EYE returns to Ripon today looking to add to his fine course record by taking the 6f Armstrong Memorial Handicap (3.45).
The five-year-old has played musical stables over the past four years but is now back with trainer David Brown, who saddled him to land a hat-trick at Ripon over 6f back in 2010. He showed improved form on his first start back with Brown when fifth at York last time out.
Brown was in good form himself last week sending out a winner and a second at Glorious Goodwood and has a 19 per cent strike-rate at Ripon with all of his runners.
Action on Monday also comes from Cork, where there is an intriguing 3m conditions hurdle at 3.35 featuring Won In The Dark and Mossey Joe, and Naas in Ireland.
In Britain, all-weather racing returns to Kempton for the first time in a month after resurfacing and conditions are expected to ride slower than usual. Carlisle and Wolverhampton also hold fixtures on Monday.
