Exciting Module makes chase debut at Exeter

TOM GEORGE unleashes one of his big hopes for the season at Exeter on Tuesday when Module makes his debut over fences in the Betfred Best Mate Beginners' Chase at 3.10pm.

Highly thought of when trained in France, Module looked a class act on his British debut when winning over hurdles at Cheltenham in January but George is confident that chasing will be the making of him.

The trainer said: "There probably would me more to come over hurdles but I think it would jeopardise his chasing as he's always been taught to jump properly in France. He's one of my brightest novice chase prospects."

George will have high hopes of landing a double on the card as Sophonie makes her debut for the yard in the Haldon Handicap Chase at 4.10pm.

Formerly with Ferdy Murphy, Sophonie was a winner over hurdles in January but, not unlike Module, looks unexposed over fences.

The day's other jumps meeting comes from Fairyhouse in Ireland, while Yarmouth and Lingfield on the all-weather stage afternoon Flat meetings.

Going for today's meetings
Exeter Good to soft, soft in places
Fairyhouse Soft, yielding to soft in places
Yarmouth Heavy
Lingfield Standard to slow
