Cox out to continue Hot
streak at Kempton

TRAINER Clive Cox has four runners on Monday as he bids to continue his hot streak that has seen him fire in the winners including a Group 1 success with Reckless Abandon in the Prix Morny on Sunday.

Reckless Abandon was the highlight of a memorable weekend for Cox, who also secured the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes at Newbury with 25-1 outsider Lethal Force.

Those two big wins - plus ten others during the past two weeks - show Cox to be in scintillating form and Way Too Hot may be his best hope of adding to those wins on Monday.

The three-year-old contests the 7f fillies' handicap that closes the Kempton card (9.20) taking on six rivals.

Way Too Hot began her season with a close second to subsequent Group 2 winner Laugh Out Loud at Kempton before finishing fourth in a Listed race at York and sixth at Royal Ascot. A return to that form should see her go close.

Racing also takes place at Thirsk and Windsor on Monday, with Cox having runners at both tracks, along with Wolverhampton on the Flat. Stratford hosts an afternoon jumps fixture and Tramore and Roscommon hold fixtures in Ireland.
