Thurles: meeting doubtful unless weather changes dramatically

PROSPECTS for racing at Thurles on Thursday were described as " very doubtful " by racecourse manager Pierce Molony on Saturday afternoon.
With Sunday's meeting at Naas cancelled due to snow, Thurles is the next scheduled meeting in Ireland. However, Molony said: "We are unraceable due to frost. It got as low as -11C here last night and we are -4C this afternoon.
"The very cold weather is due to continue through the week andI would have to say Thursday's meeting is very doubtful unless the weather changes dramatically."
