ASCOT has announced the Queen will be in attendance for Qipco British Champions Day at week on Saturday when the mighty Frankel is set to end his brilliant career.
Charles Barnett, the course's chief executive, said on Wednesday: "We are delighted that the Queen will be coming to British Champions Day and she will present the trophy for the race named in her honour, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes."
The Queen, who enjoyed success at Royal Ascot this year courtesy of Estimate, could have a runner in the QEII with Carlton House entered in the race.
Champions Day, run for the first time at Ascot last year, also stages the Qipco Champion Stakes, which is likely to be Frankel's final race.
