Southwell: there will be no racing at the track on Monday

MONDAY'S all-weather Flat meeting at Southwell has been abandoned along with Tuesday's due to waterlogging and the course's fixtures on Wednesday is subject to an inspection.
The track was hit by torrential rain overnight on Saturday and racing was called off on Sunday morning.
Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said: "It has just started to go under water. It is mainly coming from the dykes all around.
"The chute is under water and the bend in the home straight is under water. The trouble is we have got nowhere to pump it to. We had just short of 50mm of rain overnight.
"We will inspect tomorrow at 8am for Wednesday, but the forecast isn't very helpful."

Southwell - 8am Monday for Wednesday
Fontwell - 3pm Monday for Wednesday
Wetherby - 2pm Monday for Wednesday
