Soul and Salutem cut
to bag Rockingham pot
THE Rockingham, part of the Curragh's card on Sunday, is Ireland's richest 5f handicap and Russian Soul and In Salutem have both been cut to capture the €60,000 first prize.
Trained by Michael Halford, Russian Soul was 12-1 with Paddy Power overnight, but is now into 7-1 with the firm.
The five-year-old, who will be ridden by Shane Foley, was a general 11-1 chance, but that price has long gone with Ladbrokes offering a standout 8-1.
He has 22 rivals to deal with including In Salutem, another market mover.
Wayne Lordan gets the ride on the Sakhee's Secret gelding, whose odds for the race have nearly halved.
Paddy Power and Rockingham sponsor Boylesports are 9-1 (from 16), while Ladbrokes are lowest at 8-1. Coral and bet365 offer 10-1.
