Rio De La Plata back in training after setback
RIO DE LA PLATA is back in full training after suffering from a respiratory problem in the spring.
The Godolphin four-year-old was last seen finishing third behind Tamayuz 12 months ago in the Prix Jean Prat.
Simon Crisford, Godolphin's racing manager said: "Rio De La Plata had a setback in the spring, which meant that he had to have time out of training, but he's back in full training now.
"He had a respiratory problem and could be back in the second half of the season.
"Obviously we've got to get him fit enough to go for a race.
"I wouldn't have thought he'd run in the International at York first time out, but hopefully we can go forward and have a really good campaign with him."
