RICHARD DUNWOODY, approaching the last week of his 42-day ‘1000 Miles in 1000 Hours' charity challenge walk, was inspired on Friday by the courage of JP McNamara and Paul Stewart, both of whom are recovering from severe spinal injuries.
McNamara walked ten miles with the ex-jockey and one and a half miles with Stewart, son of leading owner Andy, who has been out of hospital only two weeks.

Between them, they have raised over £20,000 for Racing Welfare, the Alzheimer's Society, Sparks and Spinal Research.
The previous evening, on Newmarket's Bury Road, Dunwoody had been joined by Sheikh Mohammed, who walked a mile with the Grand National-winning rider and who had, earlier in the week, made donated to the charity challenge.
Dunwoody, who rode Kribensis to victory in the 1990 Champion Hurdle for Sheikh Mohammed, is aiming to complete the journey at the July Course in Newmarket next Friday.
