HUNTINGDON'S meeting this afternoon is subject to an inspection at 10am, as a sharp morning frost has left the track frozen in places.
No problems were anticipated for the fixture, with clerk of the course Sulekha Varma happy with the state of the track when walking it at 6am. However temperatures have subsequently dropped and forced an inspection.
Varma said: "The course was absolutely fine when we walked it earlier, but we are now not happy with it and as things stand are not raceable.
" We have got to hope that temperatures rise in the next hour. The sun is out and if the forecast is right then we are hopeful."
