HUGHIE MORRISON is responsible for the highest profile defectors from Royal Ascot's two biggest handicaps after he removed Sagramor from the Royal Hunt Cup and Pastoral Player from the Wokingham Stakes.

Both horses have established themselves as genuine Group performers in the last week with Sagramor chasing home Carlton House in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes and Pastoral Player landing Haydock's John Of Gaunt Stakes.
The weights for the Royal Hunt Cup are headed by 2010 winner Invisible Man and former Group 2-winning juvenile King Torus, but bookmakers continue to favour Ant and Dec's progressive Primaeval, who has the Buckingham Palace Stakes as an alternative Ascot option.
Skilful and Tullius are two others towards the top of the Hunt Cup betting to have been scratched but almost all the principals for the Wokingham - whose favourites are Maqarek and Cape Classic - remain possible runners.
