Mighty Frankel 1-6 to land Queen Anne Stakes

FRANKEL, the world's best racehorse, will face ten rivals when he bids to stretch his unbeaten record to 11 in Tuesday's Queen Anne Stakes, the opening race of Royal Ascot.

Trained by Sir Henry Cecil for owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah, the son of Galileo was on Sunday cut to 1-6 (from 1-5) for the 1m Group 1 by William Hill, whose spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said: "Frankel looks certain to be one of the shortest-priced winners in the history of Royal Ascot, and, not only has Sir Henry's celeb been backed in singles despite his prohibitive odds, but victory number 11 will set the multiple ball rolling for the week to come."

Frankel will face old rival Excelebration, whom he has beaten four times, as well as Strong Suit, a winner at the last two royal meetings. The Aidan O'Brien-trained So You Think was the only withdrawal on Sunday.

The other Group 1 races on Tuesday's card - the King's Stand Stakes and St James's Palace Stakes - have attracted 23- and 16-runner fields, while 23 juveniles will line up for the Coventry Stakes.
