Dettori booked for Laugh Out Loud in Coronation

MICK CHANNON has turned to Frankie Dettori for the ride on Laugh Out Loud in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on Friday, as the filly bids to continue her progress and win a Group 1.

With regular rider William Buick unavailable, Channon will use Dettori on the filly, who featured among 20 confirmations for the Group 1 on Saturday. She will be joined by stablemate Samitar, who gave Channon his first Classic win in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

Dettori's employers Godolphin supplemented Irish History to the field on Saturday morning, with Falls Of Lora and Pimpernel other possibles for Mahmood Al Zarooni.

Homecoming Queen, who won the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, leads a potential six-strong challenge for Aidan O'Brien, who also has After, Maybe, Soon, Up and Wonderful engaged.

The first three home at Newmarket could all clash again with Starscope one of two entries for John Gosden along with Elusive Kate.

There are 18 still entered for the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes, with Aidan O'Brien responsible for seven of the potential field. Derby third Astrology leads the party, along with fourth placed Wrote, and Chester maiden winner Father Of Science.
