MINCE, one of the season's most exciting emergent sprinters, will not be supplemented for the Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot, her trainer has confirmed.
The three-year-old recorded four consecutive victories in late summer, culminating in a first Group victory in the Group 3 John Guest Bengough Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
She had been considered not just for the British Champions Sprint, to be run on Qipco British Champions Day a week on Saturday, but also for the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp's Arc meeting.
However, trainer Roger Charlton said on Thursday morning his filly was finished for the season.
"Mince goes on her much deserved winter holidays next week and she won't be supplemented for the Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot," he tweeted.
