Ripon: track will inspect for Saturday's meeting on Friday morning

RIPON will inspect at 11.30am on Friday for its Saturday fixture, while Leicester's meeting on the same day is already off.
With as much as 30mm rain forecast on Thursday, Ripon has decided to check conditions on Friday morning.
Leicester's Saturday card has been abandoned as the course is waterlogged with patches of false ground due to 16mm rain in last 24 hours.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson said: "The ground was already soft and we are now waterlogged. There is no hope of racing and unfortunately it was a very easy decision.
"We are forecast rain throughout the next few days so there is no possibility of conditions improving in time. We've now had 109mm in the last three weeks, we had 90mm from the start of January to the end of March."
