£250,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Trophy 1m2f, 3yo
RICHARD HANNON and Pat Dobbs combined again at the Craven meeting with the hard-fought victory of Rougemont in the valuable sales race.
Having landed the Nell Gwyn Stakes on Wednesday withEsentepe, the pair again tasted success in the £250,000 sales race.
It was also a landmark success for owner Julie Wood as Rougemont was her 100thwinner.
Wood, who waited four years for her first winner but remains unspoiled by her subsequent success, confirmed: "That's my 99th UK winner, plus the Goffs Million [with Lucky General in 2009] in Ireland.
"That's so exciting and I'm really pleased. I love my horses, but there are bad bits as well as good bits so I relish days like this. We didn't put him in the Derby, but I wish we had."
Dobbs tracked the early leaders on the 10-1 shot and came through up the stands' rail two furlongs from home as Mickdaam and Arsaadi looked set to fight out the finish.
Rougemont got home for a half-length success to complete a double on the day for Hannon after the earlier success of Tassel in the opening 5f maiden.
The winner's stablemate Coupe De Ville, who started 7-2 favourite, faded into fifth under Ryan Moore.
