The Richard Fahey-trained sprinter was a general 7-1 chance for the Group 1, but much to the trainer's disappointment will miss the race.
Fahey told the Racing Post on Thursday: "He has been working out of his skin, but he scoped dirty this morning which is a huge disappointment."
Mayson's next run could either be at Longchamp or Ascot, as Fahey added: "There are two options remaining for him. He'll either go to Longchamp for the Prix de l'Abbaye, or to Ascot on Champions Day on October 20 for the Qipco Champions Sprint."
Final declarations for the Sprint Cup on Thursday revealed that the two leading fancies will be drawn on opposite sides, with Ortensia in 15, while Bated Breath has stall one. A field of 15 was declared, with Reply and Kingsgate Native the others not declared.
