Canada: Trainer Richard Fahey has confirmed the Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine next month as the next target for Barefoot Lady, who bagged a Grade 2 at the track on Sunday.
Winning the Canadian Stakes provided the four-year-old with the biggest success of her career and Fahey is aiming for more.
"It was fantastic - I enjoyed it," he said on Monday.
"She is a tough filly who has a busy life because she comes out of her races so well. It was great to see her win - it gave me a good bit of pleasure. She goes for the EP Taylor on October 14 now."
Jamie Spencer was due to ride, but confusion over how much weight the filly would carry meant David Moran got a late call-up.
"It was a bit complicated," added Fahey, speaking on At The Races. "We thought we had 8st 5lb, but when Jamie went to the scales it was 8st 1lb [a weight Spencer could not do]. Thanks to Jamie because he organised the replacement."
