The two met before when Reckless Abandon defeated Moohaajim in the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville in August after which the Marco Botti-trained Moohaajim landed the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury.
Recent rain at Newmarket had threatened to stop Moohaajim running but he will head to post with jockey Adam Kirby, who selected the son of Cape Cross over Reckless Abandon, in the saddle. Gerald Mosse will take the ride on Reckless Abandon.
In a deep field, the leading contenders are joined by the likes of Gimcrack Stakes winner Blaine, Heavy Metal, successful in the Richmond Stakes, Cristoforo Colombo and Hototo. Taayel, third behind Moohaajim at Newbury and third favourite for the Middle Park, was not declared.
The presence of the unbeaten Dawn Approach has scared away much of the opposition in the Group 1 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes with only five, including stablemate Leitir Mor, prepared to take him on.
Chief among his rivals is the John Gosden-trained Ashdan, winner of a conditions race at Doncaster's St Leger festival last month.
