MOONSTONE MAGIC, an impressive winner of the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes at Newbury this month, will be supplemented for Sunday's Qipco 1,000 Guineas.
Trainer Ralph Beckett confirmed the news on Monday morning and has been buoyed by updates from Newmarket clerk of the course Michael Prosser that conditions will be no faster than good on Sunday and are likely to be good to soft.
Owned by Lady Marchwood, Moonstone Magic won on her debut at Leicester in April and followed that up at Newbury in the 1,000 Guineas trial registered as the Fred Darling. Both victories came on soft ground and Beckett had warned against running the daughter of Trade Fair on faster going.
She is around the 8-1 mark for the 1,000 Guineas.
