Knight popular to take finale at Cheltenham
THE final day of the Paddy Power meeting at Cheltenham and the final race of the day (4.00) is attracting the attention of punters with Clondaw Knight supported for the 2m½f bumper.
Clondaw Knight is making his first start for trainer Lucinda Russell and Sandy Seymour, owner of the ill-fated Brindisi Breeze, after being purchased for £140,000 in August.
He is 4-1 (from 6) with Betfred, 4-1 (from 5) with Coral and 4-1 (from 9-2) with Boylesports to make a winning debut under rules.
A useful bumper performer that has made a promising switch to hurdles has also attracted some support at Cheltenham.
Village Vic (3.25) has been cut to 2-1 (from 11-4) by Betfred, 9-4 (from 3) by BetVictor, 9-4 (from 11-4) with bet365 and 9-4 (from 5-2) with Boylesports.
The other major fixture takes place at Punchestown in Ireland on Sunday where small fields and odds-on favourites rule the roost.
Road To Riches (12.35), Oscars Well (1.05), Back In Focus (1.40) and Hurricane Fly (2.15) are all odds-on for victory.
