Warrior tops strong hand for Twiston-Davies's

SAM and Nigel Twiston-Davies combined for a memorable victory with The New One at the Cheltenham Festival earlier this month and the duo could have another good day at Ludlow on Thursday.

Racing at Ludlow goes ahead after the course scrapped a morning inspection and the Twiston-Davies's have four runners on the card.

The leading hope for the pair appears to be What A Warrior in the 2m4f novices' chase (3.00) and the trainer wrote on his  website: "He is a consistent sort and looks to have a very good chance despite a 5lb rise for his second place at Doncaster last time."

Racing also takes place at Clonmel, Dundalk, Southwell and Wolverhampton on Thursday while the meeting at Ffos Las is subject to a second inspection at 10.30am.

The temperature dropped to -5.5C at Ffos Las forcing clerk of the course Tim Long to check the track at 9am. However, while he said conditions were "improving steadily" a second inspection was announced.

Going:
Ludlow:
Soft, good to soft in places
Ffos Las: Soft, good to soft in places and frozen in places. Inspection at 10.30am
Southwell: Standard
Wolverhampton: Standard
Dundalk: Standard
Clonmel: Soft to heavy
