Punchestown set to race after passing inspection
PUNCHESTOWN'S seven-race card will go ahead as planned after the track passed an early morning inspection on Saturday.
The threat of overnight frost forced officials to call the inspection but Cliff Noone, press officer for the Turf Club , said: "Following a course inspection by officials at Punchestown, the course was found to be fit for racing and the fixture scheduled for today will go ahead as planned."
The first race is due off at 12.45pm and the going is soft to heavy, heavy in places on the hurdle and bumper course and heavy on the chase course.
