The pair - Ireland's most exciting chasers - meet in the Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase and Flemenstar is favoured by the bookmakers to come out on top.
He is odds-on in places, but generally evens, while Sir Des Champs is 7-4 for the race in which Rubi Light and Bog Warrior complete the field
"I'm getting a little bit nervous," said Casey, speaking on The Morning Line .
"It's now he's taking on better horses than he did last year.
"He's improved and is in good form. I'm very happy with him - he's done everything we've asked. He doesn't mind soft ground, but I don't think he likes it sticky.
"He means everything to us. We've never had one like him before and probably won't have one like him again."
Flemenstar is as short as 7-1 for the 3m2½f Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup, but has never raced beyond 2m4f.
"I hope he'll be a Gold Cup horse," added Casey. "We'll know after tomorrow."
