Alderwood cut to capture Dan Moore pot
LAST year's County Hurdle winner Alderwood has been cut to claim another big pot in the Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase at Punchestown.
Trained by Tom Mullins for JP McManus, Alderwood has had three starts over fences and won the last of those at Navan last month.
He was as big as 6-1 with BetVictor and Boylesports for the Dan Moore, but both firms now offer 4-1. He is as low as 7-2 in places, although Ladbrokes and William Hill go 9-2.
Sizing Europe is the star horse at Punchestown and Paddy Power clipped him to 1-7 (from 1-6) for the Tied Cottage Chase (2.20), while the same firm made Colbert Station 2-1 (from 9-4) for the Pertemps qualifier at 1.50.
There is also decent action at Musselburgh and two leading novice chase contenders have hardened.
Overturn, who runs in the 1.00, is 2-7 (from 4-11) with Paddy Power and Tap Night is 8-11 (from evens) for the 2.00.
