PIMPERNEL, Russelliana and Starscope have been installed as the 4-1 co-favourites for the Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket on Wednesday by Paddy Power.
The trio are all among the outsiders for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas but an impressive success would cause their odds to tumble for the fillies' Classic.
The John Gosden-trained Starscope is a general 25-1 for the Guineas and as short as 16-1 with Coral. Russelliana from Sir Michael Stoute's yard is no shorter than 20-1 and Godolphin's Pimpernel, who ran at Meydan twice in February, is 33-1 for the Classic.
Pimpernel - the mount of Frankie Dettori- is trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni who is also represented by Minidress, who will be ridden by Mickael Barzalona.
The trainer said: "The trip will suit Pimpernel who is in good form. She ran in Dubai twice and was second and then fifth, but she did not have a good run in the second race. I'm very keen to get a run into her. I just want to get Minidress ready and it's 50-50 whether she'll run in the Guineas."
The 7f Group 3, which attracted 13 runners, is also set to feature Nayarra, a Group 1 winner in Italy last season.
