EXCITING novice chaser Fingal Bay has been ruled out for the rest of the season after incurring a minor tendon injury.
The Grade 1-winning hurdler made a successful start to his chase career at Chepstow before following home Dynaste at Cheltenham's Open meeting.
Last week, the Philip Hobbs-trained star dramatically ran out at the third-last fence when sent off 1-12 favourite at Exeter.
"Unfortunately he's sustained a minor tendon injury," Hobbs said on At The Races.
"That was not the reason he was jumping so badly left at Exeter, but it does mean he's going to miss the season."
