Queen Of Naples out to resume winning ways in Park Hill

QUEEN OF NAPLES will bid to put a disappointing effort at Glorious Goodwood behind her when she takes her chance in the Goffs/DBS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster on Thursday.

Without a victory since landing a Wolverhampton maiden back in April, John Gosden's filly ran a fine race in defeat when third inthe Lancashire Oaks at Haydock on her penultimate start.

She failed to deliver on her first run over this 1m6f trip at Goodwood but Gosden's racing secretary Peter Shoemark believes stamina will not be an issue.

"Goodwood did not go according toplan as it was a messy pace and it turned into a sprint which would not have suited her," said Shoemark.
"Hopefully there will be a good gallop at Doncaster and she runs as though she will stay.

"She ran well in soft ground at Haydock and she is Group 2-placed now so if we can win a Group 2, that would be fantastic."

Aidan O'Brien is double-handed in the race with both Hold Me Love Me and Perihelion taking their chances.

Yorkshire Oaks fourth Allegretto take a drop in class for Sir Michael Stoute, while the field is completed by Gull Wing, Under The Rainbow, Gravitation and Presbyterian Nun.
