Master Minded progress pleases Nicholls
MASTER MINDED has returned to light exercise since his rib injury was diagnosed and trainer Paul Nicholls said on Saturday he was "quite happy" with the dual-Champion Chase winner's progress.
The Clive Smith-owned seven-year-old hung to his right when beaten at Cheltenham on his seasonal reappearance in November and tests revealed he had suffered a stress fracture of the tenth rib.
Master Minded is a general 7-4 favourite to complete ahat-trick of Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase triumphs and Nicholls told The Morning Line: "We started riding him on Monday. He's been in our school the last two days and he's done 20-minute trots and 20-minute canters.
"He's actually moving and doing plenty so I'm quite happy where I am with him at this stage."
