DESPITE his star filly Danedream being superseded at the head of the Arc market by Orfevre on Sunday and the recent big-race wins of Snow Fairy and Shareta, trainer Peter Schiergen is still confident of doubling up at Longchamp on October 7.

Danedream was workmanlike on her last start, landing a slowly-run Grosser Preis Von Baden by half a length, a race she won by six lengths last year on her way to Arc glory.
Meanwhile, the two horses who finished closest to her in last year's race have enhanced their claims, while Japanese challenger Orfevre has also emerged.
"She did not have a hard race at Baden-Baden and everything has gone smoothly since," said Schiergen. "She is just having light work now, but I am very happy with her.
"The form of last year's Arc has worked out well, with Shareta and Snow Fairy winning top races. Don't forget she beat them both by five lengths last year, and if she's in the same form in three weeks' time, she can beat them again."
The Arc will be Danedream's European farewell. Schiergen added: "The plan is for her to run one more time after the Arc, in the Japan Cup, and she will then retire to Teruya Yoshida's Japanese farm."
