Oaks third High Heeled joins John Gosden
HIGH HEELED, who was sold for 600,000gns at the end of a season in which she finished third in the Investec Oaks, has joined the stable of John Gosden for her four-year-old campaign.
The filly, who registered a six-length victory in the Totesport.com St Simon Stakes on her final start for Barry Hills, is to race in the colours of George Strawbridge who is the new owner in a partnership with his racing manager James Wigan.
Wigan said: "High Heeled will be trained John Gosden this season and I would think she would be campaigned in races over ten to 12 furlongs. George and I are joint owners and I hope she can go on and progress further."
High Heeled, who won four of her 12 starts for previous owner Steven Jenkins, began her career by finishing second to Strawbridge's Rainbow View but finished a place in front of her rival at Epsom last June where she was beaten two-and-three-quarter lengths by Sariska.
