CHEPSTOW'S meeting on Saturday is confidently expected to go-ahead, with the going described as heavy on Friday morning.
Clerk of the course Tim Long said: "The deluge that everyone has been suffering in the past ten days has abated over the last couple of days, we had less than 0.5mm of rain on Thursday and it was dry through the night.
"The forecast for Friday night is 5mm-7mm of rain and we would be pretty confident that we could take that without any problems so no inspection is planned."
