QIPCO 1,000 Guineas favourite Rizeena is "very much on song for the race" according to connections after sailing through her latest workout in Newmarket on Tuesday morning.

Working the full Classic trip of a mile on the Al Bahathri Polytrack, the 4-1 shot pulled around five lengths clear of her usual lead horse Afkar in the hands of Ryan Moore.

Clive Brittain's filly is now set to have another searching workout on Friday, which will aim to put her spot on for the 1,000 Guineas, a race her trainer won with Pebbles (1984) and Sayyedati (1993).

Bruce Raymond, racing manager to Rizeena's owner Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum, said: "She is very much on song for the 1,000 Guineas and Ryan was happy with her progress. We are looking forward to the race."
