Newcastle: discounts are available for Countryside Alliance day

NEWCASTLE is teaming up with the Countryside Alliance for its meeting on Sunday October 17 with Sir Johnny Scott, co-presenter of the TV series Clarissa and the Countryman and author of soon-to-be-released A Book of Britain, and Thirsk-based Ben Potter, one of the UK's top falconers in attendance.
An extra race, featuring riders from various hunts, will help raise funds for the day's two charities, the Countryside Alliance Foundation and the Army Benevolent Fund.
The course will have one enclosure, and discounts on family entry are available if pre-booked. Details are online at newcastle-racecourse.co.uk.
