DENMAN is 7-2 favourite with Coral following the final declarations for the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on Saturday.
A field of 21 declarations for the £200,000 handicap chase were made on Thursday morning, headed by top-weight Denman, who is bidding to win the Hennessy for a second time.
Sam Thomas, who rode Denman to that 2007 victory, partners Coral's 6-1 second favourite What A Friend, joint-owned by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who will be hoping for better luck than his team had against Besiktas in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Queen's Barbers Shop is also 6-1 with Coral, while the Howard Johnson-trained Killyglen is next best at 8-1.
Darkness, who on Tuesday was reported on course for the Hennessy by connections and was a 33-1 shot, was not among the final field.
