Ocean Park set for travels after easy NZ win

Report; New Zealand, Saturday

Ellerslie: New Zealand Stakes (Group 1) 1m2f, turf, 3yo+

COX PLATE winner Ocean Park (Gary Hennessy/Leith Innes) will jet off for an international campaign on the back of an easy Group 1 victory at home in New Zealand.

The Dubai Duty Free and Royal Ascot are next on the agenda for the four-year-old, who put behind him an ordinary effort last time out to put five-time Group 1 winner Veyron to the sword by three and a half lengths.

"I was confident a long way out from home," said jockey Leith Innes, speaking to sportal.co.nz. "Veyron's a real tiger to get past. I've won on him as well - but he's pretty much put him away in three strides."

Ellerslie: Diamond Stakes (Group 1) 6f, turf, 2yo

The Bernardini filly, owned by a syndicate which includes All Blacks legend Colin Meads, led from the start to finish to beat another smart filly in Bounding.
