BREEDERS' CUP winner Musical Romance (Bill Kaplan/Juan Leyva) bids to demonstrate her champion status when she faces nine rivals in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes at Keeneland.
The five-year-old mare is back at the 7f trip over which she landed a 20-1 surprise in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint on the dirt at Churchill Downs.
Having been defeated on her seasonal debut, she returned to her best to win the Grade 2 Inside Information at Gulfstream last month, where Thursday's rival Groupie Doll was third under similar weight conditions.
The switch to the Polytrack shouldn't offer any concern to judge from her strong effort in a red-hot renewal of a Grade 2 here last year.
